This is a great fiber for easy spinning, needle felt and felting projects. Corriedale, a medium wool, about 28 microns, is widely regarded as one of the best general-purpose wool fibers there is. Often chosen by spinning teachers as an introductory fiber, Corriedale drafts easily and can be spun for almost any purpose. Great for hats, mittens, sweaters, many people find it to be next-to-skin soft. The combed preparation of this fiber makes it ideal for spinning smooth, even yarns, but its versatile nature gives the spinner almost unlimited options. It is also wonderful for felting! Spin it by tearing off chunks and drafting, or tearing it lengthwise into strips before spinning.
This listing is for a ½ lb. bag, but 2 oz. samples can also be special ordered.
Depending on stock levels, some fibers or yarns may need to be special-ordered, which generally takes no longer than a regular Knitgrrl Studio mail order. We will let you know if we need to order additional fiber for you or if we need to ship part of your order separately. Thank you.
